Bradley Vincent McCabe -born Nov. 1st, 1960, passed away on March 22nd, 2003 of a massive heart attack. He is survived by his mother Audrey (Spicer) and father H, Bruce McCabe, Truro, Nova Scotia and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was educated at Douglas Street Elementary School, Truro Junior High School and the Cobequid Educational Center. He was a very active participant in the Cobequid Educational Center Symphonic Band where he played first tenor sax and the Jazz Band in which he played from grade 7 until grade11. He left the band after playing for a visit from Queen Elizabeth II. His last year in high school he devoted his talents to the yearly school play in which he had the part as the "Beggar" in the "Fiddler on the Roof". After High school he attended St. Mary's University and Dalhousie University where he earned a BA in languages with a major in Russian and a BS with a major in Computer Science. He was a member of Phi Delta fraternity. Bradley was active in sports including little league baseball, hockey and the town swim team. He was also an avid skier and sailor. He worked in Halifax for a number of years in computer programming and playing the saxophone in numerous clubs with bands. Eventually he moved to Toronto where he worked for Moor's Business Systems and again played the saxophone in bands in clubs including the El Macombo and Grosmans. He became active in a Star Trek Club and played the part as a Klingon often visiting Children's Hospitals with his group and playing the Sax and singing for children in a church group as a Klingon. Eight years ago he moved to Memphis working for Computer Horizons as a consultant to International Paper. When first arriving in Memphis he took his saxophone and went of to Beale Street to meet other musicians and jam with them even playing with B.B.King. He became a member of MENSA and took up target shooting becoming a member of the National Rifle Association. Two years ago he was diagnosed with a heart muscle disease and knew that without a heart transplant his time was short. He commenced a search for assurance that there was another life beyond the grave. His search led him to the Grace Free Will Baptist Church and with many discussions with members of the church and pastor Tim Osborn we believe he found what he was looking for. The last Sunday of his life was the first time that he took communion and he revised his web page on the internet to delete all and replace with a message in Greek quoting Revelations 22 Verse 21."The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen." Bradley was a dearly loved kind man and sadly missed by his Mom and Dad.
